Brickwork Repair to a Damaged Bin Store
This was an emergency call-out. A vehicle had struck the brick bin store in a residents' car park, punching a hole clean through the wall and bringing a corner down with it. Loose brickwork was piled on the ground and the structure was no longer safe to leave open.
I got there the same day, cleared the debris and boarded the opening up with plywood so the building was secure and weathertight overnight. That took the pressure off and gave me time to match materials properly before rebuilding.
The rebuild came next — I cut the damaged brickwork back to a sound edge, then rebuilt the corner and wall in brick matched to the existing for colour, size and bond. Once it had gone off and been pointed to match, the repair sits in with the original and does not stand out.
